Anjali Hiriyanna is a Bangalore based artist who thrives on capturing instincts, impulses and fleeting memories to bind them in lines on paper. A very tactile being she also engages with clay.
You will probably catch her lost in thought for long periods of time as if in a dormant state of inaction. This is a not really a state of dormancy, rather a transition- imagine a caterpillar in a cocoon. And when this passes, you will find Anjali reaching for her favourite stationary to dish out bold, forms and shapes on paper. Making art seems spontaneous and barely takes her much time, but this is clearly a result of long hours of contemplation, reflection and realisations.
Anjali believes there is a unique beauty to every aspect of life and finds purpose in creating unbiased representations of every little thing that touches her.
